In additon to including publications from the Middle East, the library doubles as a forum to provide space to its users for exchange of ideas and views. The “city wall” mentioned in the program forms the outer perimeter of the library complex. The use and the meaning of it is not restricted to being a bulletin board for the regional administration however, it also provides a space for people to express their ideas, truly a communal space. The wall is absent of paint, it is gross concrete. Intangible. The individuals in the region provides tangibility to it. The wall holds the expressions of the individual on one side and bookshelves on the other. In between is a thick line, it is formed from soil and it is deformed rising in water.
